Visa exempt

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have the following question concerning my visa,

Can i enter Thailand on a visa exempt if my booked return flight is 6 months later ?

I am a Duch national and i have several tourist visa"s from Savannaketh in my passport.

Normally i would get a visa in Amsterdam before my flight , however i do not have time to do this.

I only have 1 " in/out stamp " in my passport dated somewhere in 2012.

Thanks for any answers,

You can enter Thailand but the airline may ask to see a ticket out within 30 days to let you board the place.

For that some people gets a cheap ticket, or a fully refundable one, or just a printed reservation.

You can enter the country without a problem but you might be denied bording your flight without a ticket out of the country within 30 days of arrival.

Thanks, i usually fly with Etihad and never been asked about a visa. I think i will take my chances.

I claim no expertise in this area but logic would suggest that care will need to be taken in completing the landing card - i.e. some firm indication that departure from the country will be within 30 days, and how it will be achieved.

There is nothing to be filled in the arrival card about departure.

I did not say "arrival card", I said "landing card". By that, I meant the 2-part form consisting of the "arrival card" and the "departure card".

Departure card is to be filled at departure. Not arrival.

So why do they give it to you when you arrive and then staple it into your passport?

Because it carries an unique number matching the arrival card and entry records in database.

Thanks. I have learned something. I did start by saying I had no expertise in the matter! :)
