Hi... This is my first time to Phuket. I'm gonna be there for 6 days in August. Of course I'll be dropping by Phi Phi Island.

Can anyone advise me on how to get to Phi Phi from Phuket?

The price of travelling there?

What to do there?

Is 2 nights stay sufficient?

If I were u I would stay eiither 6 days in Phuket ot 6 days in Phi Phi.

You can chill on the beach in Phi Phi.

6 days isn't really a long time and I would limit the amount of travellinvolved.

cheers

It is just a couple of hours by boat eaither way (slowish boat ...) Or you can even do one of the daily tour boats and catch the return ... stay at both places ... and try somehow to get a decent island tour of Phuket while you are here

Phi Phi is only a short ferry ride away if you want to go there for a few days or if one days enough do one of the speed boat day trips. There is a lot more to do and see on Phuket than there is on Phi Phi - but if you want a nice quiet away from it all beach that can still be had on Phuket as well :o

Go to Rassada Port, Phuket town. The boat leaves at 8am and is about 600 baht return. It is often a better deal to book at a tour shop - they will include transfer to/from the port and you can get discount on accommodation.

If you can, def' do both.

Phi Phi deserves at least one night, pref' two, if only to sit and have a beer at the beach bar while the sun goes down.

Whilst there I'd take a kayak to monkey beach - not the one in the international shipping lane - the second one where on a good day you will be outnumbered by the monkeys.

A long tailed boat hire cost 800 baht for an afternoon last time I was there and will take you further around the two islands. Meyer Bay is good, but pot luck whether you will share with 100 other boats and leave disappointed.

After this back to Phuket for more life.

Which you prefer will depend on what you seek, but you should visit both and appreciate the contrast.
