ISIS comes to Thailand? sorry, couldn't help myself

Sorry, it is ISIL. I am wondering if the police actually said that they have not ruled out suicide or if the writer made it up.

"Police are unsure if the couple were murdered or committed suicide."

Couldn't there be a third option - accidental? Too little information and facts to make any call as yet.

Could also be that the couple has nothing to do with the boat. The whole story seems to be made up by the press. The "floating" bodies floating around for 10 days with the really strong currents could have started their "trip" a few hundreds kilometers away. Maybe in the area of Koh Chang? Or somewhere else?

And do you really think, with all the speedboats, ferries, divingtours, helicoptertours, air surveillance, Navy-patrols,etc,etc, around Pattaya and its islands, the bodies go undetected? For 10 days or more?

And the police, Navy, Marine departement and all the hundreds of private offshore-businesses do not know this? Aaaah, come on.

Wasn't this "abandoned" boat not moored at Pattaya Beach just before? Now I am wondering: How do "abandoned", but anchored boats move from one place to another?

A fictional scenario could be that the person or persons on board just have been to one of the laundries at the same time these heroic reporters arrived at the spot and used the chance to illegally jump on board for a couple of minutes, took their photos and disappeared again. And when he/she or they came back, saw the mess, which these " elements of truth" left to their boat, they decided to decapitate her and suicide him. Then jumped, unremarked by the, usually 30, nearby waiting speedboats, in full sight of the pier, into the water, into a strong current, to stay there nearby to watch the scene from there "undercover position". For about two weeks...

And such well researched, profoundly within a couple of minutes ( ehm, hours) with undeniable photographic proof, result of the most professional journalism gets your heartbeat up?

Then buy yourself a copy of that "news"-paper.

Or spend these 60 Baht, hop on the ferry to Tawaen Beach and ask one of the speedboats, the eyewitnesses.

As far as I know, cruising yachts with a foreign background, solely expositioned, fully viewable, are under close observation by the relevant authorities.

Yeah, yeah, all these abandoning anchorers near the offshore-massgraves for suicidal decapitators...

UPDATE
New Developments in abandoned boat case near Pattaya Island

boat-21.jpg
PATTAYA:--A full investigation is now underway into the circumstances surrounding the death of a male and female, thought to be of foreign nationality, off the coast of Larn Island, earlier this week. New developments suggest the discovery of an abandoned Catamaran nearby is not connected to the pair in any way.

Region 2 Police, Marine Police and the Pattaya Marine Department confirmed on Friday that the boat belongs to a Belgian and is currently being Captained by a German. The boat experienced technical difficulties and with the permission of the Marine Department, the vessel was anchored 500 meters off the coast of Sark Island, which is situated next to Larn Island, until it could become sea-worthy again.

The vessel is normally moored at the Ocean Marina Yachtclub in Jomtien. The Captain of the vessel has been accounted for and boarded the vessel with Police on Friday where he confirmed that the boat was not in operation.

It has all the mystery and intrigue of the Marie Celeste. Just write a book about it.

Very strange .. I sail a lot in those waters , specially koh larn ... RIP

Strange? How many people have forgotten that two other "headless" bodies (male and female) were found in the same area, along with an abandoned boat, about one month ago? I think it is about time to consider that a serial killer is out there--a killer who does not like foreign couples on boats!

As of today's date (20 Nov. 2014), the only thing that seems clear is that two bodies (one male and one female) were found in the water near Koh Larn, and both bodies were "headless." Unless we are the Thai police, I think we can rule out suicide :)

The article says; Police are now re-focusing their efforts on the two headless corpses found in the sea and suggested the heads had been consumed by fish, which is a common occurrence when bodies remain in the sea for a substantial period of time.

Obviously, they mean that marine creatures had eaten some of the flesh off the heads (no doubt making identification difficult).

Headless means lacking a head. There is no fish or sea creature in Pattaya waters capable of such head munching especially on two corpses.

Now if they blamed it on the jetskis...........................................
