Popular Post kurnell
Why didn't they cut a hole in the floor and use foot power just like Fred Flintstone. That's cheaper that gas

ratcatcher
"Authorities believe the flames were caused by a malfunction in the vehicle’s LPG gas and electrical systems, Rama IX News reported." The flames were caused by the fire which was caused by leaking LPG. It depends on which engine was fitted in this C200. Not a diesel, that's obvious. Too bad he couldn't afford the proper fuel for such a nice car.
BSJ
It is possible in other countries to get LPG kits for diesel engine....but it's usually 80 diesel and 20 LPG. Check Aliexpress or a dozen other sites.

slapout
Doubt anyone will question, much less, verify, taxes/duties were paid in full, for what appears to be a somewhat modified automobile. Guess they neglected to request/reward the proper people/institution to insure the modifications were done to code.It is kind of scary just to think of the modified fuel systems that are running the roads of Thailand, thanks to the shade tree mechanics, whose productive experience is/was following a water buffalo on the family farm. ratcatcher
These German cars are less and less reliable :-) German engineering has always been superb. Perhaps it was the quality of the LPG system installed in his car? Hang on it was probably assembled in Thailand.

mike324
Mercedes does have some models which comes in CNG / NGT straight from factory, I think it was only the E Class and Vans.

Not from the company its locally made conversion kit (May be made in china ). Any car(vehicle) can be converted to LPG------ in NZ a few yrs ago there was a thriving trade in conversions.Garages were doing conversions to CNG and LPG and the average tune up or general service had to take a back seat.
