It will not be a problem.

What border shall i enter or is it better to fly out and stay 1 night then come back?

I heard reports of problems at Phuket Airport.

Most reports of problems have been people trying to do an out and back for an exempt entry.

Ranong is not good for any type of re-entry. The other southern crossings should not be a problem now.

Flying out and back is the best.

getting back into Thailand on a Tourist visa?
my 2nd Tourist entry

Do you mean a 30 day visa exempt entry or the second entry on a double entry tourist visa?

I flew into Phuket on a second entry of a double entry TV last month. After waiting in line for an hour, due to what appeared to be heightened passport scrutiny, the I/O said "How long will you stay" I said "60 days". He got a little nasty and raised his tone and said "You here 90 day already". I replied "Exactly, and now I am entering on the same visa for another 60 days". Slightly baffled, he deflated and stamped but seems to me this conversation and the posturing was uncalled for as my passport is clean as a whistle.

Does that apply to Andaman Club or estuary crossing to Victoria Point or both? We plan to renew our multiple visit Non-Imm O or second of 3 entry Tourist Visa (undecided which to obtain yet in October) at Ranong across to Andaman Club and back as we did last February on Non-Imm O. That time we just stayed over for lunch before returning, this time we plan to stay over for one or two nights - and hoping the offer of Johnny Walker Black Label at 1000 baht for a litre is still on in Duty Free shop.wink.png

Ranong and the Andaman club have both been reported for not allowing people to leave the country with various types of visas recently. You can be expect be asked for financial proof and tickets out of the country.

Hopefully by the time (next January) that we will have to do a re-entry, the situation at Ranong will be clearer and less inconsistent. I intend to take the tourist proof documents previously advised on TV in any event. It just seems crazy that we would have to go to more expensive and less convenient lengths from Khao Lak , even a cheap flight out and back from Phuket, to achieve re-entry on perfectly valid visas. I was hoping that the saying TIT (This IS Thailand), usually accompanied by a resigned shrug of the shoulders would be replaced by TWT (This WAS Thailand) in relation to the inconsistent interpretation and application of what should be standard throughout the country. Perhaps we may have to wait for this to happen.

By January they may of sorted things out and have every border crossing being on the same page as the rest of the country.

csabo

at least you go into Thailand with no real problems.

Why not take advantage and make a little holiday of it? It depends where you are living. In the south you could go to kuala lumpur or Singapore. In the east you could go to Vietnam. In the west you could visit Myanmar.

Wherever you are a double entry 60 day visitor visa should experience no problems. The privilege is bought and paid for.
