So the guy pops round to the cop shop, takes some PR photos, then is released and on his way to Phuket huh? Wonder why he didn't get jailed and not allowed bail like the other Patong thugs?

Where does it say he was released ?

>>Now I am waiting to come to Phuket.

Doesn't that sound like he was released to you?

No, that sounds like he's waiting to be transported by police escort to Phuket, stop trying to read between the lines

it's laughable that anyone thinks he is going to jail. The phone call went something like.

"Look mate, we have to be shown to be doing something about all this criminal stuff you've done".

"But what about that boat I bought you, and the condo for your wife overlooking the beach?

....and that land approval I got the governor to push through!"

"I know, I know. Don't worry, this is just formality; something for the media to get their teeth into."

"Alright, once I'm done having it large in Bangkok, I'll pop by a police station for a photo opportunity...

...But you owe me!"

Looks like I was correct. He wasn't held in Bangkok, he was brought to Phuket (albeit in "custody" if you could call it that), and is now out on bail, with some happy smiling PR photos thrown in for free!

Let's hope somebody wipes that <deleted>**ing smile off his face soon.

You would be smiling too, if you had 75 million dollars in various bank and investment accounts here and overseas, owned several villas, and faced a slap on the wrist by a corrupt prosecutor and judge. Not exactly something to fear.
