My wife and her family do the same with all cooked foods, pork, chicken, fish, any type of meat. It doesn't matter how long either it can be overnight or 3 days. It makes me scratch my head because they are adamant on fruits, breads and deserts have to go in the refrigerator immediately though. -

yes, I've had friends leave rice, chicken and even fish out on the table for hours ... I wouldn't touch it, and I am always putting it in containers and in the fridge when that happens.- 1
