Popular Post harrry
I was very pleased to receive a letter from immigration this morning. It came from Chiangrai Immigration. It very clearly told me that my Retirement VIsa expires in 5 weeks. It advised me to get my papers together and then present them at immigration between 5 Sept and 7 Sept. It advised me that there was a requirement to present them to the Chief of Chiangrai Immigration but that that officer would be available at the Chiangrai sub office on Mondays and Wednesdays. This applies to Retirement, Medical, Education or Monks or Nuns. It was clearly written in thai with a correct and understandable English translation. I am very pleased to see this obvious courteous way of reminding us or our extension and what has to be done. A Client centred approach for a change.
craigp
I had my first dealing with Chiang rai immigration about a week ago, I totally agree with you. I was also amazed by their friendliness and professionalism. Especially after being being made to feel like a diseased animal at Chiang mai immigration. Glad I live in Rai!!
