Is a step on the groin more deserving of a red card then a Head butt to the chest

Being male I think that a foot to the jewels is more deserving a red card.

And was this foot slip intentional or an accident and would that or should that make a difference?

Well Rooney at least has a case. He was being harrassed by two Portugese defenders before the incident and even though he probably stepped on the defender's groin purpose, he at least tried to make it look accidental.

Zidane's headbutt was a straightout assault. There is no debate that it was a red card and luckily for Mattarazzi, Zidane's headbutt didnt connect with his forehead or nose.
