train to airport

This might help

http://www.thaiwaysmagazine.com/bangkok_map/bangkok_skytrain_metro_map.html

Looks like Mo Chit to Phaya Thai on the green line, then to Makkasan on the blue line, then either stay on the blue line to the airport or change to the red line for a non-stop train to the airport.

I have never made the journey myself so I'm just assuming that the map is correct.

a taxi would be quicker and not much dearer.

Not true. But depends what your priorities are.

In relation to question : "Can anybody help a friend of mine. She wants to know how to get from mo -chit bus station to suvanaphum airport , using the airport train. Thank you in advance for any help."

1. Mo Chit BUS STATION does NOT have a BTS Station Link.

You need to get to Mo Chit BTS Station.

Last time for me 80 Baht Taxi ride. (Use the correct Taxi Rank - Meter Taxis)

2. Mo Chit BTS Station take train to Paya Thai (Only 5 or 10 minutes and about 25 Baht)

3. At Paya Thai transfer over bridge to Airport Link.

40 or 45 Baht disc ticket to Airport (About 30 minutes.)

Quicker and lots cheaper than a Taxi.

Very straightforward.

I do it regularly.

Mochit bus station to Don muang airport by bus (30 bahts)

Then direct bus to suvanabumi airport. (free if she got a flight to take)

Total cost 30 bahts.

True, but would take some time. The Taxi/BTS/APL route would be faster, I think.

Take almost any non AC local bus from Mo Chit and get off at the MRT station. 8 baht or whatever pittance it is now.

OK. Thank you. Point taken. Totally correct.

But often I am dragging the "going home" case around with me and for 80 Baht the Taxi seems to suit me.

Also the Arrivals side of Mo Chit Bus Station is some way from the Departure side.
