Longest goal in the history of football

Featured Replies

Begovic's strike from his 6yd box in the 13th second of the Southampton match last season has now officially been judged by Guinness BOR as the longest recorded strike in football history at 91 (ish) metres.

That's not in the 6yd box Santi.

What about Bergkamp's goal against Newcastle in 2002? It's been replayed on television practically every day since.

Because it's quality, not because it broke any records.

I was referring to Bergkamp's goal in the concept of time and that it actually took place but, ofcourse, you knew that didn't you? The only record the Turkish Airlines commercial broke was that millions of idiots couldn't get enough of it on Youtube.

Wow you're full of the joys of life this morning, aren't you?
