90 day report with Non Immigrant B

Featured Replies

Need your help one more time, thanks!

I was having a Non Immigrant ED Visa before and had to do the 90 days report. Now I have a Non Immigrant B visa and when I entered the country a couple days ago they said I have to go to the Immigration before the end of November. They didn't mention anything about the 90 days report.

I just did the 90 days report last month so it still lasts until November as well. My question is: As I left the country for a couple of days, is the 90 day report still valid? Do I have to do anything before the end of November or is everything fine for now?

Thanks a lot

you dont do a 90 day report on a visa, only on an extension of stay...

When you leave the country and re-enter the 90 day clock starts all over. So you have to report 90 days after your arrival in Thailand.

That's not what the immigration officer told me yesterday. Now to be fair that was translated by my wife, so there is a chance the imm. officer was actually talking about how much she wanted to visit Disneyland sometime, but what was said was I should have started 90 day reporting from my arrival date in Jan. and the first report was to be done in Apr. You might think that the arrival stamp running out on that date would mean the extension of stay would count as 90 day reporting, but apparently you must go from one window to the 90 day window.

I had a little slip of paper in my PP, which I could swear said the extension of stay shall count as contacting immigration, but that was removed from my PP so I can not doublecheck.

Cost me 2k in any case.

BTW, we are in an appartment, and need the owner of the building to fill out some long ass form saying they own the place, they know I am falang and know I have been stayiing here since xyz date, give us a copy of their ID card, probably house book (I don't know, I had tuned out in a sea of black rage at this point.) Just beware, the rental contract is NOT enough.

The Op case is is different, he did not mentioned about extension of stay, so no reporting.

However those that have a non-im. O-A visa, or any other 'A' visa do reporting.

Depends by the local office. Many are not difficult like your and allow reporting by mail with minimal paperwork.
