Clip of beach 'mafia' Controlling the Area

Came across this clip in the Thai press today of Thai beach 'Mafia' (this was how they were described in the article) forcing a sunbathing female tourist off the beach onto the paying deckchairs, while kicking sand on her and pushing her.
He was reported as saying, "You can't lie on the beach. You can only use the fee-paying deckchairs!"
The beach wasn't identified.
Looks like the jet ski Mafia have branched out into new areas and revenue streams...

Can you explain why this covered up coward owns the beach? they are there illegally i presume, being on a beach not yet cleaned up by the army... its scum like this that should be moved off the beach

Right. The scum police would see me defending this lady from a felony assault as a money making opportunity.

Darn right they would.....they are allowing these mafia types to rule the beach...you see. They are on the payroll for such. You would get fined and he would go free. No doubt whatsoever.

Felony assault...perhaps in the USA...but not really. Harassment is more like it. She slapped him back with the towel. An all out fight would of been ugly. Farangs seldom get the benefit of the doubt in a fight with a gang of thugs. They usually get killed. I am not a coward, and would probably get killed...but that does not make me smart.. A situation where you cannot win.

If you hang around a while you can spot the supervisors that oversee the punks.

In Pattaya, I see 3 older rough looking Thai ladies that control the jet skis miscreants.

One in front of Royal Garden, another in front of Mikes Mall, Soi 11 and another up near the police station.

They are foul mouthed, viscous pigs that occasionally get into the fray.

I watched one lady berating a tourist(surrounded by her thug staff), screaming the F word & snatched a gold chain from a jet ski scam tourist (victim).

As the beaches are royal property and have been dedicated to public use, these sort of thugs should face LM charges.
