Oh, NO! We took holiday from BKK to avaoid immigration there and enjoy the Jomtien immigration as well as the sea. Simple extensions of tourist visas. All the Web sites say it is open on Saturday 08:30 to Noon. It is closed, gate barred, restaurants closed, ...

Not surprisingly, visa expires TODAY! Are we stuck having to pay 2 days overstay each by going Monday? Whether BKK or Pattaya matters not to me on Monday.

Is Bangkok (or a closer to Jomtien office I can get to NOW) open today?

All Thai Immigration Offices are closed today.

If your visa expire today you can still go to Immigration on Monday, no overstay charges.

keep up with visa rules and changes, check www.thaivisaservice.com . Thank you

There is no immigration office open on Saturday.

I have seen no website that says they are open Saturday morning.

You may not need to pay an overstay fine on Monday because your permit to stay ended on a weekend.

Personally, I've never seen an Immigration office open on Saturday.

Must have been quite a while ago.

AFAIK Jomtien Immigration used to be open on Saturday mornings but only a few operation were available.

(mainly 90-days reports and non-Imm extensions I think)

I didn't know they stopped to open on Saturdays ?? or when it happened ?

Looking on the Internet many sites still display that they are open on Saturday,

like by example: http://www.thailandvisas.com/thai-immigration-in-pattaya.html

You loose nothing by doing the extension early because the extension starts on the date your 60 days ends.

You can do it as much as 30 days early.
