Security guard held under suspicion of killing 4-year old girl

I hope Thailand still performs capital punishment. A swift trial, conviction and execution is what is called for here. Bring some sort of closure for the family. Unlike the UK where families of the murdered have to watch and suffer as the perpetrators of often horrendous crimes are allowed to live into old age in a cosy tax payer funded institution, sometimes achieving celebrity status.

I would say death penalty is appropriate, but this is Thailand. If he confesses and apologizes, they'll commute the death sentence to life. Standard practice here. Then, after about 7 years, if he's still alive, he can file for pardon from the King.

Like the doctor who butchered his wife and tried to stuff her body parts into two different toilet systems. Got released after only 7 years of a life sentence, after receiving THREE royal pardon's and time off for "good behavior". He's out on the streets now.

Unfortunately I just saw some of the recovery pictures that were posted. If you have not seen them, please do not look at them. They are atrocious and will not be forgotten in a long while.

For all those who don't believe in the death penalty.....I'm not sure what to say. This guy is true evil and I would gladly volunteer to pull the off switch on him.

this is rife throughout thailand If you follow thai news their seems to be a similar case almost every day where a poor young child female is raped and often killed and thais dont seem to care.

Thais know this and those who care dont let their young daughters out of sight for a minute unless they are at school or at a friends house but definitely not an uncle or other male member of the family or workers of any kind

Im very old but if i ever had time n a room with one of these animals tied up he (and often a she accomplice) would be begging for death by end of first day. Yet often they get a smallish jail sentance

Odd that this apartment has security and that this man could enter without question and roam around drunk whilst security cameras showed him on the camera. Odd that security cameras at this apartment showed him leading the girl around outside and no security personnel saw that and questioned the man about his presence there. Odd that no security personnel are included in this report as being a key assisting factor in the investigation.

Odd that Thai parents treat their cars better than their children; that they never seem to notice their children unless the children are under their feet, and that they let them run around and run amok without a care in the world (quote: "I could never control him").

Odd that a foreigner can't take a piss in a bush without several Thais noticing it and gossiping about it for weeks, but this happens and no one has seen it or they have seen it and don't make a peep because they fear confrontation about things they know nothing about.

Odd that Thais can run a half-ass business of making apartments and letting those apartments get run-down and filthy, and they can hire the scum of the earth to give the impression of "security", and no one holds them accountable as well... and no Thai tenants complain or threaten the landlord.

There are too many oddities about Thais and their culture which factor into events like this.

Thailand is like a zoo without cages or barriers, and Thais in general are lunatics.

There is no justification in wanting to lynch someone when no one does a damn thing to prevent anything like this from happening, and rather instead live in the middle of their shit and stupidity and get all sad and misty eyed when something bad happens.
