I wonder if it's a stupid assumption to ask if he's a member of the Eastern Tigers?

Not stupid at all FH.

http://2bangkok.com/afraid-of-the-eastern-tigers.html

Thanks sir, that's a good read too, I've read up quite a bit about the "Eastern Tigers" a very powerful group of officers indeed, almost akin to the Knights Templar, also read that it's very much a Nepotistic and cronyistic "clique" , again with similarites to the KT, the only thing is, the KT's were all rounded up and executed eventually, on orders from the King of France who feared they were too powerful and influential and had their hands in many affairs and organisations and properties... oh ! isn't that an amazing coincidence? ;)

so with this yellow general, we can be sure, the next PM (maybe Yingluck) will be removed again by one more coup.

This is how the yellow elite hold the power forever.

???????????????

Care to reply my previous comment here?

no?

I'm waiting?

<EDIT> Thought so….

Issan people are uneducated

You just broke the forum rules, you've generalised, and made a derogatory comment that Issan people are not educated, I think I might actually report this to the TVF moderators and request your actual real name and details and also get my wife, and her friends of some who are educated with University degrees who are highly educated to bring a libel case against you, or against TVF for allowing such ignorant comments to be made..

You do realise that you're coming across as a very bigoted and arrogant young man, who has a tendency to look down upon those who's education isn't quite up to your elitist standards?

Another excellent choice for Army Commander in chief and from the Eastern Tigers who are showing their superior leadership skills more than any of the recent assortment of garbage that has been put up as politicians. Thats now three excellent choices in a row. But one does not have to do much to figure that out but only read the usual opening comments from the usual "elections are the only requirement for democracy" and "all coups are bad" flat earthers who should just accept Thailand's political garbage is being cleaned up and put to waste where it belongs.

I'm curious as to how you acertain that the new Commander is an excellent choice, did you serve under him and his leadership skills and tactcal prowess that has given your thumbs up and that you know the General well enough to endorse the promotion?

I had an old company Commander who was the dogs nads and was always for the men, and he went on to become the CO of the Battalion, he then went to Staff, and became a Colonel, then Brigadier, and then finally a General and at one stage was GOC for the British Army based in Iraq , it was there that he lost the support of many of his die hard advocates as he was instrumental in getting my old Regiment the chop !!

I know very little of the man, or how he's performed his duties for Thailand elsewhere within the Army, PM Prayuths judgement is fine by me, not that he needs mine, or any other farangs seal of approval right enough :D although there's more than likely a reason to keep the Eastern Tigers in the more powerful positions, especially when the event happens.

11) You will not post slurs, degrading or overly negative comments directed towards Thailand, specific locations, Thai institutions such as the judicial or law enforcement system, Thai culture, Thai people

cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif says the poster who posted a picture of water buffaloes with a reference to Issan people, and has constantly called anyone who was a PTP supporter a terrorist sympathiser and who has been less than kind towards the Issan people... what a hypocrite you are Jamie.

You're great entertainment though, soon you'll be spouting about the 15 principles of democracy and peace and reconciliation.. as if the Thai electorate ever knew them, or cared for them in the first place, your b/s principles that is wink.png

God no FH, whatever you do, please don't set him off on the 15 principles of democracy!

What was he like leading a platoon, company,or commanding his battalion in action? After all, with the long running insurgency in the south, anyone getting to the top of the army must have a very good record of soldiering operationally!

" Eastern Tigers", " Blood Line of Heaven" (the officers of 1st Division I read), this bunch don't half have some fancy nicknames!

All we had were nicknames like "Arfers", (Light Infantry, only had 1/2 a capbadge apparently), Devon and Donuts (Devon and Dorset Regiment), Argyle and Bolton Wanderers, (Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders), Squidgys (Princess of Wales Royal Regiment), Viet Taff (Royal Regiment of Wales) and so on. No wonder we never managed a coup - no one would have taken us seriously!

Thats right. The PTP's 2nd biggest fear. The other 14 principles!

Their biggest fear being the truth.

Army strongman???

Bet he is scared of ghosts

555 Thaskin in one of his interview was talking about the thai general, he did call them : ladyboycheesy.gif

He did didn't he. And he also blamed Abhisit for making bad decisions because he "surrounded himself with homosexuals". Wonder what Thaksin's son and his son's "friend" Jakrapob made of that little joke? Good old Thaksin, champion of human rights, idol of champagne socialists, never a dull moment.

<script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>

and of course, this general wear yellow underwear... what a surprise alt=whistling.gif>

Fair enough.

WHat are your views on the PTP Foreign minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul who said the new travel document for Mr Thaksin, who spends most of his time in Dubai avoiding a two year jail term for corruption, could be a "New Year's present". Especially when he stated he had no idea why he was promoted to the position as he had no experience as a foreign minister.

At least the Junta have put experienced people in the right position. Did the dictatorship? Regime? PTP?

Come on. I dare you to reply. Tell me who was less qualified in the Junta line up (which is a military dictatorship) compared to a more qualified candidate under a democratically elected government under the PTP?

Remember the Junta can put who they want in power. The PTP have to listen to the voice of the people.

Surapong? No experience in foreign affairs. Stated he had no idea what to do? The voice of the people? Remember the amnesty bill and the voice of the people?

I rest my case.

What color is your underwear?

Colour Black today.cheesy.gif

Most people in democratic countries wouldn't have a clue who was in-charge of the second division , some wouldn't have a clue who the top brass is, Asian countries love all this war mongering B/S, the country Thailand like some others are run and always have been run by the military, regardless of the PR, just how many Generals run departments, a reduction of 65% in defence spending and improvements to education should be a priority ,the cart has always been before the horse in many aspects of Thai life . That's Thailand .coffee1.gif

strongman?

i dunno, looks like someone I would arm wrestle.

The gang are near all out together on this topic today, amazing how they pounce when there is some morsel to nibble at. If these appointments have been given the # sanction to take place it cannot be out of order as the top person in the land would not have allowed it.

Near all the apologists comments are anti army propaganda machine out showing their usual stuff--most have pushed Suthep into the background now new the army is in control.

This is one re shuffle on a large scale that had to come about.

How many re shuffles did Yingluck have in her cabinet during her FANTASTIC leadership ??? did it reach the Guinness Book of records ??

Are all your comments legitimate?? because the moves have appointed the wrong persons ?? ( the same as Yinglucks cabinet) or is it just to get on the anti army bandwagon ??

Please tell the posters who in Yinglucks cabinet were actually holding their position on years of experience in the field they represented, ie foreign minister , Defense Minister..................care to talk about Yinglucks expertise on Defense. ???? any answers on this again NO.cheesy.gif
