My wife and I are looking to move abroad and are very interested in Thailand. She just got a job offer there, but I haven't yet, and the details aren't clear if I can move and live with her legally. How long can I stay without having a job if it takes awhile? Will I need to do visa runs?

We're both American if that matters.

If your wife gets a job, work permit and a one year extension of stay for working you can also get an extension as her dependent.

There will be no need to do visa runs.
