Getting A Non-immigrant Visa From Cambodia

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Ive been coming and going every month for the last 2 years and its doing my head in! Plus I want a thai drivers licence.

Can anyone tell me what I need to take with me to the thai embassy to get a non-immigrant 1 year multiple entry visa? and how much it will cost and how long it will take. I will be in Phnom penh for 10 days ( thought that would be long enough).

I was told that I could get a non-immigrant B visa fairly simply by going to the thai embassy in phnom penh and telling them that I want to teach in chiang mai and with that they would issue me the VISA? is this correct? seems a little to easy?

Please let me know.

Many thanks,

Kish

I do not believe you are going to have much luck obtaining a non immigrant B visa anywhere with a story like that. If you can not search the forum try reading Sunbelt posts for requirements at specific Consulates. You can help obtain specific answers if you advise your status, passport, employment (prospects?) etc.

Believe me, it is not as easy as you think.

To sum it up: one poster who went to Phnom Penh recently for something much simpler, a tourist visa, was told bluntly not to come again because the Phnom Penh consulate was there to issue visas to Cambodian citizens, not to persons of other countries.

Forget PP. I presented complete paperwork for Multiple and was told flat out not to come back and let my friends know not to expect to have any visas issuedany visas in PP. After a 30 minutes interwiev I ended up with a single entry.
