Electric razor allowed by Thai Security? Info please?

Featured Replies

Are rechargeable electric shavers allowed in carry-on luggage?

Recently Thai banned phone external power packs.

I went to the TAT, AAT and the information I found dates as far back as 2009. Obviously they do not maintain nor update the website.

It even mentions that the City link does not yet connect to the airport but is scheduled to open in 2010.

I want to make sure that on my flight to Philippines I would be able to shave and be ready for a business meeting.

Anybody with info on this subject, please, let me know.

TIA

I always carry my rechargeable razor in my hand luggage. Never a problem.

I've never had an issue with my electric razor going through security in BKK or HKT. It does go into my carry-on of course, and not my checked luggage.

Same for me. Never asked anything by security. Also have rechargeable toothbrush and no questions about it either.

FAA requirement on rechargeable batteries and devices be placed on carry on baggage in case a battery decides to light off. Easier to deal with in the cabin than in the cargo hold. No spare lithium metal or ion batteries are allowed in checked baggage, unless installed in a device. NiMH and NiCad are allowed. Most international airlines follow FAA guidelines.

Carry on is the best place to keep your batteries.

No problem
