Transferring tourist Visa to new passport

Featured Replies

I'm going to transfer my tourist visa to my new passport today at changwattana. Will I need a letter from the British embassy to do this? I'm worried about this because I need to do this today. Thank you for any response.

What nationality are you? (Assumed UK, but not stated)

Is the Tourist Visa for Thailand?

How many entries?

What is the reason for the replacement Passport?

A general question for others ... I thought you had to have at least 6 months left on a Passport to get a Visa for most countries?

The reason for the renewal is the old passport is totally full. Im a British citizen. It is a double entry tourist visa but its on it's second extension which expires on the 26th of September. The tourist visa is for Thailand.

No, it is still here, but you're in the wrong section. Moving to the Visas forum .

So your visa is no longer valid. Visas are not transferred. Only your permit to stay will be transferred.
