Mrjlh Posted September 16, 2014 Share Posted September 16, 2014 Truevisions flashing across the screen that as of "Oct 5 ASN 2 on Ch 678" will no longer be broadcasted, This is the channel which most American Football games are shown on. Anyone else see this? And could anyone who reads and writes Thai, please write to them and complain for those of us who can't? I'll complain at my local office but I know it will not go anywhere. wayned Posted September 17, 2014 Share Posted September 17, 2014 I spoke to True today. They are in fact terminating broadcast of ASN2 on 5 October due to contract issues. But they have signed a contract with NFL to broadcast the games direct. They will be broadcast on channels 666, 668 and 669. The broadcasts will start this Friday on channel 666 with a broadcast of Thursday night's game -Tampa Bay and Atlanta- and the broadcasts on channel 668 and 669 will begin on 6 October, Sunday the 5ths games. They will continue to air ASN2 until the 5th. They are also in contract negotiations with ASN for channel 677 which broadcasts the college games. ASN will continue to be broadcast on channel 677 until further notice. That's what they told me. Guess we'll have to wait and see! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Glad I put together a PVR HDD and Box so I can record programs. Did it for slightly more than 3,000B. TV wants 5,000B for the same thing. Had TV activate it for me at their 99B rate and am finally using it today to record a couple of programs. We'll have to wait and see if they follow ASN's schedule for the live games and if they will also show the "first air" ones following them and their replay schedule. I have had the silver package for years and now no football. I get 677 but 668 and 669 not. Is there some other way of getting ASN2? like a sat system? Instead of Dallas and Seattle, we got Atlanta and Chicago this morning. That's two weeks straight of Atlanta, aka Nobody's Team. I think it started at 03:25 - I watched the end of the Pats/Bills prior to this game kicking off. I have to say that everything about TrueVisions NFL broadcasts is simply amazing. We get seven (7) live games in HD each week, plus a number of first-time replays, and re-broadcasts during the week. No inane commercials during breaks - just a live feed from the stadium, and occasionally miked announcers dropping f-bombs. Hopefully it stays this way. I wish they showed the cut-aways, and half-time shows...but the open mic comments can be hilarious. Chris Collinsworth (NBC) can be pretty funny off-air, and Troy Aikman (FOX) has some salty language.
