work permit reqire high school diploma?

Featured Replies

I am looking for work in Thailand. When i do find a willing company and start the work permit process will i need a high school diploma? I am a Chef with 5 years experience . Will it matter that i don't have diploma? or is there a way around that? Thank you for your time

You only really need what is required by the job description.

There is is no rule that says you need to any level of education to get a work permit.

You will need something to prove your work experience.

Hah I don't know anyone ever that has been asked to show proof of high school graduation. You can get a pretty good sense within the first few minutes if someone is a dummy.

Okay because it is listed as a required document for work permit application. Has anyone had experience with optioning a work permit with out a diploma? thanks for help guys. what could be used to prove work experience?

A diploma is not a required document for a work permit application unless the job requires it.

References from previous employers would prove work experience.

If you have a potential employer that really want you to work for them they can get the work permit.

There is even a form that can be signed. See: http://wp.doe.go.th/wp/images/form/edu-form.pdf
