Non O visa.... immigration visit..... question

Recommended Posts

Im trying to help a work colleague who has a farang passport with an existing Non immig O visa for 12 months.

She moved from another province to this new job and the employer has successfully obtained a WP for her.

If they go to immigration office to advise of the change, will she have to take money. What else should she take. She is married to a thai

thanks

She can apply for an extension of stay based upon marriage during the last 30 days of her 90 entry from the visa. Since she has a Thai husband no financial proof is needed.

Her husband would have to go with her when she applies.

Two sets of copies of the following will be needed to attach to 2 TM7 application forms (only 1 set in Bangkok).

Marriage Certicate and Kor Ror 2 marriage registry.

Her husbands house book and ID card.

Map to the where they are living.

Photos of them in and around the house. One photo must show them under or beside the house number.

Copies of her passport photo page, visa, entry/permit to stay stamp and TM6 departure card.

Proof of residence will be needed if not living where her husbands house is for.

Some immigration office may have additional requirements.

Maybe cannot understand the question ? re answer given..

All she needs to do is change the address ? then when she goes for the next 90 reporting do it then, at the New Immigratioin Office maybe will also need the other form filled out 'House Master' and the house owners id copy and blue book copy

A one year non immigrant visa would not require 90 day reports because border runs every 90 days are needed.

i took it to mean they wanted to get an extension of stay since they mentioned money.

Yes is confusing, but is is a 12 month Visa ? or 12 month extension, being married to a Thai..

would her husband or house owner not have to fill out the form as to a non Thai living at a new address within so many hours ? is it 48 hrs

If she already has an extension based on being married to a Thai, she should file a TM28 form, within 24 hours of the move, at the new immigration office, free, and the house master should file a TM 30 form. Many offices do not care about the TM28 form and will tell you to do it at the next 90 day report and just put the new address on the TM47 form but it's best to contact the office direct to see what they require.
