Does Cambodian E-visa give passport visa sticker?
Okay, thanks a lot for confirming. Yes, I do have very limited free space left in my passport, but it should be enough for a final in/out. -

Using an overseas Debit Card to minimise paying tax for those of us staying over 180 days
If you were to follow my hypothetical example you would most likely have existing funds in your account that you are living on. Funds given back to you by relatives would be used as and when needed. Always need to be aware that people all have different situations. Eg some pensions are not taxed in their home countries after the age of 60. -

Using an overseas Debit Card to minimise paying tax for those of us staying over 180 days
I think if I was the Revenue, I might look at that persons bank account to see what withdrawals they were making to live on. When I didn't find any, I might wonder if they were working illegally or involved in illegal activities, that's when the problems start. Confess to tax evasion or admit to cooking and selling crystal meth, a tough call to make. -

He didn't have funds for a direct flight to UK so a stopover in finland sounds resonably, what ever happened there nobody knows. -

American father reunites with Thai daughter after 48 years apart
Yes, so my thinking is yes, he helped the mom for a year, then went back home. Tried to contact from what time to now? Internet wasn't available back then so of course he had to try other methods, which is hard because with you not being in country, how do you find someone? Facebook started in 2004, and you can find people easily if they're using it. Internet searching before that was possible but birth records aren't easy to see unless you're here. 1982 is when birth records came into the system here, so he could have found them then, possibly. It's nice he got into contact with her, no matter how late, because everyone wants a history of people who care, if only a little. Her father obviously didn't, so now she has something, which isn't bad.- 1

I wonder why they don't adopt non-violent protests like a nationwide work/student strike.
