Evidence Ties Kritsuda to Blackshirt Militants, Police Chief Says

BANGKOK — Thailand’s police chief has renewed the accusation that a 26-year-old Redshirt activist currently in exile supplied weapons to armed militants who fought with security forces during the political unrest in 2010.

Pol.Gen. Somyot Pumpanmuang said police found receipts of weapons purchases and money transfers that link Kritsuda Kunasen to the members of the militant group, known as the Blackshirts.

According to Pol.Gen. Somyot, Ms. Kritsuda, who is currently residing in Europe, kept records of illegal purchases of AK-47 rifles, RPGs, and M-79 grenade launchers in her home in Bangkok. The documents were uncovered by police during a raid on her residence, Pol.Gen. Somyot claimed.

Police also found records that Mr. Kritsuda transferred up to "hundreds of thousands of baht” to accused members of the Blackshirt militants that were arrested last week, Pol.Gen. Somyot said.

"The prosecution of [Kritsuda] is in accordance with the evidence we have," Pol.Gen. Somyot said. "It's not a groundless accusation, or any attempt to discredit anyone."

Good. Another one for the gallows.

Brilliant! Terrorists issue receipts and have detailed accounting records of their arms deals. Really Somyot, surely you can do better than that.

I can't wait for Thomas Fuller of the New York Times comes out and says some crap about the "elites" stifling the downtrodden poor and putting those poor folks pining for democracy in jail.

Yes, that's what these organizations do. Remember how they got Al Capone? How about this:

http://www.thewire.com/global/2013/12/al-qaeda-are-strict-about-keeping-track-their-receipts/356552/

The world's most fearsome terrorist organization is run a lot like a corporation, complete with financial managers who get on your case if you don't file expense reports properly. Working for Al Qaeda is just like working in your office, too.

When you think about how Al Qaeda operates, you don't expect to hear about what is effectively a human resources department, or an intricate finance department, but apparently those both exist within Al Qaeda, according to the Associated Press, which found a box of Al Qaeda documents left behind in Timbuktu, Mali. The most interesting discovery was a meticulously kept trail of receipts for everything from groceries to oil purchases during the group's short stint there:

no he can't. that is the best he can do. for sure.

and under the current conditions, it's good enough.

I'm suspicous of all this.........definately not 100% sure this is true...........it seems to me, to be a very convenient outcome...........

But.....hopefully the cops and military have done their jobs.............

'for sure'?

Anyway, I'll wait for the new developments we'll most likely hear about tomorrow and the day after and so on.

Actually, terrorist or not, people do keep detailed accounting records so as to know who has been paid what and for what. As for the authorities finding she kept those records in her home, I've not read anywhere that she is a genius.

Those bank transactions surely can be checked whether they are real or not. Let the bank confirm names, accounts and amounts.

If authentic they could get interpol involved. Hiring gunmen to murder soldiers surely is an act of terrorism.

When the man gives you money for an operation he usually wants some proof you didn't just take the money. And, by the way, anytime you transfer money via a banking organization there will be a receipt and records in the system for many, many years.

I think recent history has shown that people don't always have enough common sense to bury the box of evidence on the farm.

I am not saying she did it, but I will say she is going to take the fall and the boss isn't going to come to the rescue.

kritsuda is being persecuted guys. don't be so gullible.

This is not the 3rd hand as the gullible like to have us believe. It is EVIDENCE. The PTP's second greatest enemy. The first being the truth.

Of course the excuses will be "fake news story" or "fake evidence" or"fake bank accounts" or "she was defending democracy" or….well you get my point. It will be anything to suit the PTP agenda when it comes to this.

Next they will say that Santa is real or something even less believable, like……….The red shirts in 2010 were peaceful protestors!!!!

May peace and reconciliation be with you.

Yes, we should stop being gullible and believe what you and See the bears say is true.

Having an idea of the behavior of her boss I see her life in danger

I wonder if anything will be done to bring her back or will she too get membership of the ' fugitives from Thai justice ' club ?

Note to self....: when I supply weapons and ammo to terrorists, do not keep receipts of said purchases IN MY HOME! cheesy.gifcheesy.gif Seriously, the definition of trumped-up charges should be Thailand. w00t.gif

Are u kidding me. They issue receipts to terrorists for the import of AK47s????

I mean it's almost as though this would have to be the stupidest person in the world just waiting for the police to arrest them and put them in prison.

Police chief rebuffs Kritsuda
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- National police chief General Somyot Poompanmoung yesterday insisted police had evidence implicating Kritsuda "Ple" Khunasen in helping wire money to the so-called "men in black" to pay them for violent acts during the red-shirt protests in 2010.

He said if Kritsuda, who is in self-imposed exile, issued another video to counter his allegation he would make public further evidence against her.

He said that would be on top of transaction slips and other documents indicating the money transfers that were found at her Chon Buri home.

Somyot denied he had stated publicly that the Pheu Thai-linked United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) was involved with the violent protests in 2010.

He repeated that the five people suspected of being men in black had not been linked to the murder of Colonel Romklao Thuvatham.

The Royal Thai Police chief was speaking after core UDD leaders met him on Thursday in an attempt to distance themselves from the men in black.

" He would make public further evidence against her. "

Ever thought of having her extradited and make the evidence public in a court of law ?

I'll leave members to their own ideas on why that might not be considered.

He's making some of the evidence public in the preceding photograph.

Other evidence can be found in the preceding video three posts up.

.

This is all fiction.....evidence would only be displayed in court.....even the reds have admitted they never knew her......reciepts for buying AK47s........more utter incompetance from the RTP!

This is all fiction.....

Those guns in her house look pretty factual.

...even the reds have admitted they never knew her...

The chief financier of the reds in Dubai seems to know her and her associates as demonstrated in the video.

lots of evidence at the house of Kritsuda

Not sure if that is her sitting on the ground in the video but it looks like her. if so and they took why didn't they charge her and hold her longer than 27 days she certainly right at the top of the thaksin tree.

So prove a case via the media, no need for a trial by judicial proceedings ?

Do you consider that as a country operating under the rule of law ?

They aren't proving their case in the media, only showing that evidence against her DOES exist. ;)

Absolutely she needs a trial.
