Border crossing at Mae Sod?

Featured Replies

Last time I wanted to do a day trip from Mae Sod to Myanmar the Thai immigration told me that it was not possible.

At the moment I have a double entry tourist visa (between work) and want/need to activate my second entry and as Mae Sod is only 2.5 hours away for me compared to Laos it would be much nicer as I will go to Laos to get my new non-B visa in end of October or beginning of November.

So does anyone know if it's possible to go to Myanmar via Mae Sod on a daypass at the moment and by that activate my second entry?

Moved to the Thai visas forum.

I have seen no reports of crossings not being allowed.

You should not have a problem using the 2nd entry of your visa there.
