Stephen Cleary
I'm sure a lot of yous have seen the latest govt. anti-alcohol campaign for refraining for 'a drink' through the 3 months Buddhist Lent. If you haven't, here it is and judge the video for yourselves! Bit of a classic! The guy is shouting out 'Poor, stressed-out, drink'. Or howabout 'stressed-out, drink, poor'? ZZZ
I thought that alcohol commercials were banned in Thailand. So how come the most prominent commercial in Bankok, on top of the tallest building in Bangkok, is a Johnny Walker commersial saying "Drink don't Drive" ???? aaaaaa
yeah, I saw that commercial (BTW - J. Walker too !) I doubt it'd stop drinking, make stressed happier or poor richer !
Sing_Sling
Great acting . . . but why doesn't the guy swallow the drink . . . or could the bottle be empty?! Noooo, say it isn't so! Went to the Bangkok Motor Show a few years ago and the largest booth and sponsor was: J. Walker . . . hic . . . Khutan
I congratulate the government on taking positive steps and making an effort. The number of stories I hear of families torn apart because of alcohol. The most recent was a story I heard about a nice lady in the village who had a hard working husband and 3 kids. He was sadly killed when riding his motorcycle drunk and hit some road grader. So now there is a widow and 3 children who only have a memory of their father.
