Face of man held for stabbing of mum wanted for Thailand murder
Tom Brady and Conor Feehan

A MAN arrested by gardai investigating the savage stabbing of a mother is wanted for the murder of a prostitute in Thailand.

The woman, who has been named as Rose Kenny, is critically ill in hospital after she was stabbed several times in the throat following an ambush.

Gardai are satisfied that the attacker lay in wait for his victim as she was on her way to work in a crèche in Dublin's south inner city.

The vicious assault took place in the stairwell of a block of city council flats in School Street, shortly before 8am yesterday.

Although bleeding heavily, Ms Kenny, in her 40s, managed to struggle outside and collapsed on the road, where she was spotted by a neighbour who alerted the emergency services.

If he is wanted by Thailand they will have to ait a few years as he will have to serve his attempted murder time first.

He stabbed the prostitute 22 times and killed her - the family of the murderer came up with a large amount of money to get him released from a Thailand prison.

It amazes me that people who have been charged with murder are permitted to be bailed out in Thailand, to escape the country, and in this case try to kill again.

You don't think someone facing the death penalty by lethal injection if convicted will head for the border!

I guess eyes glaze over when they see the money!

So back then someone gained and someone lost 30k euros, would suspect those who put up the money wouldn't be to pleased with him and certainly wouldn't be inclined to go bail for him again..

Send him back to Thailand to put another £30000 into the Thai economy.

I do hope the RTP at least get an invitation over to Ireland to interview him, and will get the opportunity to extradite him on release, but I suspect there will be no extradition if there is any possibility that he could be executed for his crimes, though this sort of animal should be cadged for the rest of his natural life.

Pity they describe the Thai lady as a prostitute, wonder if they can substantiate such a claim, it could be defamation.

Defamation or not what relevance does it have?

No matter what her "occupation" No matter how she made her living, no matter how she supported her family what does it matter?

While we do not have all the details, it would appear this animal has previously taken a life and has attempted to take another, his fate (if and when found guilty) should be that which provides the maximum protection for whatever society he lived in. There can be no reasonable justification for acts with extreme violence or premeditation, there should be no way back to a normal life for the perpetrator. There can be no redemption for people responsible for this kind of crime, but the responsibility lies with them alone, not with the victim...

No matter what the circumstances of her short life are she did not deserve such an ending, and she certainly deserves more respect after her tragic demise, whatever her occupation it contributed nothing to her death!

I do hope the RTP extend an invitation to the British police to assist with investigation of 2 British tourists on KT in the last two weeks..

This is an argument FOR the death penalty. He should have never been given the chance to kill again.

Was it not bail? which he skipped.

I can nether agree with the death penalty, but returning him this animal to Thailand to serve probably a lifetime in prison a hell hole as it highly unlikely they would execute him due to extradition treaty agreements is fine by me.

Good detective work on behalf of the Irish Gardia ( Police ) they got the suspect straight away, what is wrong is somehow they try to lay blame on the victim.

Catholic Church mentality in Ireland

How can you love with yourself for the cruel thing you have done to these poor people...

If there is a Hell he deserves to go there, and Rot.....

He is. The scum of the earth......

She was only 24 years old..... Had not lived .....
