seeking farang locksmith advice

We have a glass screen door and I want to improve the security. Can you recommend a suitable lock that we can add on the inside (when we are sleeping) and the outside (when we are heading to work).

The existing lock is simple and not sure how robust it is. There is also the mozzie screen door that perhaps we could put a latch on.

Any opinions are appreciated. Have a great weekend

Go onto YouTube and search lock picking and safe cracking and you will see it's pointless.

Get a good alarm and CCTV system.

See your screen door just behind the glass door? Change it out for a metal one, and put "padlock holders" (???) on each side of the door, front and back. This way you can padlock the screen door regardless if you're staying in for the night, or leaving in the morning.

Either that, or just get a couple big dogs, and leave your door open all the time. That's what I do, and works a treat. :)

thanks for the replies. Its a rental and thus we dont want to spend too much money on metal screen door as there are no bars on any of the windows. We have an insurance policy and thus should stick with that and our mean looking dog

cheers

Get a outer door fitted made from wrought iron. They deture Burglars. I got some fitted for the Thai Mother inlaw A door and four windows , 12000 baht. Just make certain you

can open one from the inside in case of a fire.

A simple cheap and non-permanent deterrent while you are sleeping is to fit a piece of wood or pipe in the track of the sliding door so that it won't open.

We did this before at a house... works great.
