Koh Tao tourism tumbles

As far as I can work out, Koh Tao is just this little island where there is basically no govt, no police and no services to speak of. It is a quasi madhouse with no rules and regs. All very attractive for kids and teenagers to go nutty and get smashed, but an incredibly dangerous place to be if violent people want to exploit the place.

It really should come with a caveat emptor, enter at your own risk. It is not Thailand other than being a sovereign bit of Thai land, but the law has no control there at all. People should not be insured if they go there. Boycott the place and don't visit. it isn't worth it.
