I wish to clarrify a point regarding the "Affirmation of Marriage" document

The 2 references from the UK.

Can they be your mother and brother?

what happens if you left the country a long time ago and you have no contacts other than family members?

I am sure your family members have friends whose name and address you could use to put on the affirmation. Nobody contacts them to check up on you.

I guess you could but you might have to explain to somebody why it is the same address.

Presume there is no prohibition on using family members.

Used family members' names (admittedly not with my surname) for the affirmation when I married in Thailand.
