Police detain three migrant workers on Koh Tao for DNA test

KOH TAO: -- Police are detaining three migrant workers pending DNA test whether they were involved in the murders of two British tourists on Koh Tao in Surat Thani, a police source said.

Police took the three into custody after they were seen in a footage of a security camera that they bought some items from a convenient store near the beach where the tourists were killed.

Collected DNA from 300 Burmese workers. Then find a discarded item bought from a convenience store which matches something near the crime scene what three Burmese bought and hey presto!

Shouldn't there DNA match the cigarette but too?

Sadly I am not surprised, from the announcement that a Thai couldn't do such a thing its played out as expected. Please prove me wrong.

Very suspicious behavior .... buying something from a convenience store ..... normal people would never do something like that.

Of course not...we're Western Farang's. LOL!!!

Yes, yet again it has to be anyone but a Thai.

I'd be very worried if I was a migrant worker on Koh Tao.

Hope they get a lawyer quickly, I'd be prepared to donate some baht. The guy in the video running with David's pants are Myanmars, I think not.. As said here in a post does the cigarette match up. Is that what they bought?
