No, just happily ignorant to the fact that the enter before date applied to my second entry and not only my first - as has now been explained and understood and wont happen again.

Something is funny about the visa you got in Vientiane. You say you used an agent, got your passport back within 20 minutes, with an irregular and handwritten expiration date. I can't help thinking that this was a fake visa. Could you scan and post a copy of it?

Would rather not for privacy issues but take it from me that I've now entered Thailand twice on this visa without issue and have travelled extensively throughout SE Asia and this is the first time I've been asked for confirmation of my onward travel details at the departing airport. Will certainly make sure I have everything in order next time I travel.
