I read that you can get a 7-15 day extension on the 30 day visa granted on arrival.

1900 Baht I believe.

Does the extension count from the date you apply for it... or from the last day you can stay till on the 30 day'er?

Is it quick and easy to get?

From the dayyou apply. If someone overstays before they apply, they must pay that fine first.

It is easy to obtain.
