And what of the rumours of the village heads son escaping on the first flight out of Samui on bk air under a different name. If that proves to be true their license to fly should be suspended or revoked. Massive security risk when people r allowed to fly under an alias. Surely CCTV footage at the airport should be investigated at both ends. Same goes for the university. If they r in on the cover up that is simply disgraceful. Come on Samui airport release the CCTV footage of passengers boarding every flight that day. Passenger manifests would b handy also

In a statement released on Tuesday, the London-based rights group called on Thai authorities to “ensure an independent and thorough investigation into mounting allegations of torture and other ill-treatment by the police, and respect the right to a fair trial” during the murder probe.

​Thais do not do anything that harms other people. Especially not cops. Will be interesting to see, if there was such a torture. Thai police documents are pretty often changed, depending on the amount of the customer's wallet.

Wouldn't use the word "forged" for it now. Changed sounds much better, also when telling a monk about the sins.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories, especially idiotic ones as spouted on CSI LA & other places but it looks increasingly likely that the DNA evidence isn't sound. Of course, this could be an 'OJ' type case where they have the guilty party but decided to 'sure up' the case by fabricating evidence.

At this stage there is no way, NO WAY, the police are going to lose face on this and be in the wrong, even if it means mixing up DNA evidence and planting evidence for another group to test.
