My GF has a 60 day TR visa, is she eligible for the 30 day extension within the kingdom? Im a bit confused with all the changes lately and i didnt see Taiwan on the list online.

She can get the 30 day extension of her 60 day tourist visa entry.

i read the article in the Bangkok post of recent changes here - http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/local/429056/tourists-get-extended-visas

it says "holidaymakers from 49 countries" with a link to the list of countries, Taiwan isn't on there.

That is for those that get 30 day visa exempt entries not tourist visas. She will get an extension.
