non imm. B multi-entries vs 1-year extension?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a work permit and got a non imm. B at Vientiane 3 months ago.

So it is now time to apply for a extention-of-stay for the remaining of the year. But I am also looking at other options.

I was wondering if I can get a non-imm B multiple entries (for 1 year) at Penang? Could I get another non-B at Vientiane?

By the way for some resaons Vientiane stamped a "the applicant is advised to apply for work permit etc" above the visa in my passport, whereas I showed it to them when applying for the visa. They may do this automatically regardless, and this may be irrelevant but I am also wondering if that would affect my applying for a new non-B or not.

Thanks in advance.

If you have at least 8 months remaining on your work permit you can get a multiple entry non-b in Penang.

In Vientiane you would only get a single entry,

The stamp above your visa will mean nothing when you apply for another one.

Thanks!

Well noted for the stamp.

I am actually looking to apply for a non-B, non a non-O. Is the paperwork the same as that requested by Vientiane?

Finger error on the O which I changed to B. Probably because I have typed O so many times today.

I think for the multiple entry in Penang it will closer to this list than Vientiane's. http://www.mfa.go.th/main/en/services/123/15388-Non-Immigrant-Visa-%22B%22-(for-Business-and.html
