Health HIV Surge in Phuket: Health Warning and Student in Viral Ordeal
If a woman infects youi with HIV and she did not tell you she had HIV under Thai law you can sue her for negligence and she may also face criminal liability. It is a small consolation for those infected, but you can ruin her life too in the courts. A court case will cost 200,000 baht in lawyer fees and may carry damages between 100,000 and 180,000 baht. For most of the girls this would be a financial death sentence. Worth considering if you have the money for a court case. -

What makes you certifiably gay?
I think having sex with ladyboys is an interim step, perhaps you’re not ready to accept you’re gay. When the clothes and makeup is off, it’s undeniably a guy in every sense, probably a handsome (not pretty) guy. Do you continue or stop? Do you continue and tell yourself you’re not gay? Of course you’re gay. When I first came to Thailand 20 years ago, I was told Thailand is where the gay guys penetrate the boys and the ladyboys penetrate the straight(ish) guys. Btw, I’m not gay but my boyfriend is, and as they saying goes, one up the bum, no harm done. -

DTV and 5-year driver's license
I guess some offices just jumped the gun on this, when they didn't understand the DTV yet. They've probably received a clarification from Bangkok in the meantime, so the days of getting 5-year DLs on a DTV should be over all across Thailand nowadays. -

Report Thailand to Reclassify Cannabis as Controlled Substance
The vast majority of the public do not care, you are confusing the whinging of a tiny but very vocal minority with the views of the silent majority who are not inclined to comment at all. As for putting up signs, there is nothing new about no smoking signs and I guarantee the restaurant has similar signs politely asking cigarette smokers not to smoke too so I can't see the point of the photo at all People smoking cigarettes in "non smoking" areas are generally subject to a fine of up to 5000 baht. I see no reason why somebody smoking a joint should be subject to a more severe penalty
