How much did your front line cost again?

Font line? You mean that lazy, useless git Bony

Bony looks like he's more interested in being a lifter than being a footballer. How can you have any kind of fluid movement when you're that muscled up ?

That poor Stoke fellow was lucky Bony didn't break his neck for him.

De Bruyne - 55m

Silva - 24m

Sterling - 44m

Bony - 28m

Total - 151m

Goal attempts 11

On target 4

Not a good return is it.

Nothing like an Arsenal win to bring out the best in Chicog eh.

I'm asking serious questions here, you can hardly call it "banter".

Leicester are running away with it F F S.

"Manuel Pellegrini blamed Manchester Citys long injury list and the hectic fixture schedule his fit players are having to negotiate for Stoke Citys 2-0 humiliation of his team but Joe Hart called it correctly when the goalkeeper said his sides performance had been unacceptable.

Two first-half goals from Marko Arnautovic inside the opening 15 minutes meant City have taken two points in their last four away matches. The last time Pellegrinis side won away in the Premier League was on 12 September at Crystal Palace.

Before the defeat Vincent Kompany, Yaya Touré, Sergio Agüero, Pablo Zabaleta, Samir Nasir and Patrick Roberts were all injured and City left with Fernando nursing a hamstring injury. Pellegrini said: Theres no other reason why we played so badly in this game. We are playing in all the competitions with the same 13 or 14 players and for me seeing the game without doubt they hadnt recovered from the last two games.

I only agree with Pellegrini that the injuries to KEY players and the nonstop games is having a part in our '2 steps forward 1 step back' season, but he and the people above him need to take some blame. Examples:

1. if you think the speedy tricky Alpine Messi will start, do you play speedy Clichy or plodder Kolorov. A no brainer - this was a major contributor to Stoke's first goal.

2. City only have 2 fit centrebacks, Demichelis and Otamendi. Neither is blessed with pace. Demichelis legs have gone completely now. That means we need a solid 3 in front of them at the expense of an attacking player. Didn't do it and Stoke played around and through our centrebacks all game.

3. Fernando (Garcia before him) doesnot have the all round ability of the under appreciated Gareth Barry who has never been replaced. This never gets mentioned, but Barry provided great defensive cover but he could also link up and play. Now Yaya is getting past it, our central two isn't strong anymore.

4. Navas, Fernando, Bony do not have the quality of TOP premier/champions league players - playing them just makes it harder on the rest of the team. Whoever selected them for signing needs sorting out.

5. Going in to a season with only one quality forward who's injury prone (Aguero), an underperforming injury prone forward (Bony) and a talented kid yet to make his debut (Nacho) is a recipe for disaster and is hurting us no end. Was letting Dzeko and Jovetic both go on loan smart? Not bringing in a 3rd forward was criminal. Sterling cannot play up front against the top teams Mr. Pellegrini no matter how many times you say it.

6. Pellegrini said Friday we don't need to sign anybody in January. If we cannot get those key players back in the team soon we need to buy or we'll win nothing this season.

7. It's great the way Pellegrini stands by his players but his failure to see flaws and underperforming players, substitutions too late, etc is killing us.

Some of our players and the team as a whole need to standup and be counted. It's been noticeable that during this period when things aren't going right for us that the 2 players who've done better than most have been KdB (class and enthusiastic) and Fabian Delph (and that says it all doesn't it).

We're still in the mix but boy these injuries are killing us.

Oh the whining!

Take it like men will ya!!

So you would prefer us to bullshit that we're great OR tell it as we see it which requires criticising our own team? The posts by City fans should clearly read that we are not happy but taking it like men whenever we don't perform. Can't be fairer than that can we?

Interesting to hear your manager complaining about tiredness and injuries.

He bought the players sitting on the bench....Navas anyone???

He needs to look in the mirror methinks!

He only bought one of the outfield players on the bench... Delph. But that is besides the point.

I put most of the blame at the managers door. It was a difficult game in difficult conditions. The bal had to be played on the ground. The fact that Iheanacho isnt in our CL squad, means he should have started yesterday. De Bruyne is being overused. We have the young kid Patrick Roberts who we paid millions for. Where is he?? I can think of at least 4 other youngsters who are ready. So when Pellegrini says its because he is playing the same 13 players!!! Thats down to the manager not opening his mind to playing a couple of the youngsters. Humphreys or Maffeo instead of Demichelis (who is shot). Garcia/Evans/Glendon/Barker. After the debacle V Liverpool, that should have been the lesson learned to bring one or 2 new kids into the first team. But NO!! Have to put up with that rubbish. It was obvious after 15 minutes that there was something wrong, yet it takes Pelle 60 minutes to react!! He has to take his share of the blame. And as for standing by the players. <deleted> to that, none of them deserved being stood by. Should be hung out to dry and accept their misperformance and non committment. Bony especially.

Be honest, it's very rare to hear Pellegrini complain.

And yes he needs to look at himself in the mirror, and not to admire his locks

Couple of points:

Delph at 8M is looking to be a bargain. When he comes on he brings the drive that Milner used to when he was sub. Now deserves a start alongside Dinho even if Nando hadn't done his hammy yesterday.

I can see why Pelle started with senior pro Bony against the big tough Stoke defenders over Nacho, but it certainly didn't work out and it doesn't like Bony is going to work out (almost a year with us and hasn't impressed).

Roberts is on the injury list and not available yesterday (I had thought Mangala was injured but he was suspended and will surely start alongside Otamendi on Tuesday).

Some of those youngsters you mention, such as Evans and Barker, are out on loan, but yours was a fair point. Sagna needs a rest and a youngster should have had a run midweek vs Hull.

Totally agree that Pelle needs to be a brave man sometimes when we go a goal or two behind or we're struggling, and make some early proactive subs. Halftime or 10 to minutes in to the 2nd half is too late.

The Potters have not conceded a Premier League goal while Ryan Shawcross has been on the pitch this season - he's been entirely impregnable for 407 minutes of game time.

Surprised nobody has snapped him up in the past seasons.

We have Kompany who can't be relied on due to injuries, Demichelis who can't be relied on as his legs have gone, Mangala who can't be relied on as there's always a mistake in him (an upgrade on Micah? I don't think so, both ball watch), leaving only Otamendi to rely upon. Maybe we should bid for Shawcross. Two from Kompany, Otamendi and Shawcross.

Another game tomorrow night, Monchoengladbach home. Glad I don't have to go down the Etihad like my brothers, too many games, too expensive.

Lack of players so virtually picks itself. Not knowing if there are anymore injuries since saturday, I'll go for:

Hart

Sagna..Otamendi..Mangala..Clichy

Delph..Dinho (assuming Yaya n Nando are injured)

KdB..Silva..Sterling

Bony (our only forward available)

Subs: Willy Wonky, Kolorov, Demichelis, Navas. ..anybody else in the squad available...Maffeo, Adarabioyo, Celina?

Without wanting to enter another argument How the f... Can u have spent so much money and run out of players ??? And to only register 21 for your prem squad?? Imo at best is absolute prime stupidity and at worst in a PLC with so much wedge involved could border criminal negligence maybe slightly ott but you get the drift
