Meditation Retreat

Featured Replies

I intend to do a meditation retreat in a couple of months. There are lots of well listed locations to consider.

I would like to do between one and two months (could maybe take a short break and go to 2 places), but I'll need some training. Can do basic meditation but never had a teacher. Looking for forest or mountain location and I speak very basic Thai.

I like to know anyones recommendations or experiences!

All the best

Simon

Check out this website. It's particulary for Westerners who want to learn about Thai Buddhism and meditaion.

Wat Pah Nanachat recommends doing a retreat before going there. You could try Wat Umong in Chiang Mai.
