I'm in the process of getting a divorce, and the wife wants a piece of my Pattaya condo.

Can anyone, who is experienced in the Pattaya property market, provide me with a (low) valuation of my condo? A Real Estate agent who has been working the Pattaya market is good enough.

Please PM me stating your experience with the Pattaya property market and your fee to provide a written valuation in English. The valuation should state your experience, and the basis for the valuation, maybe a page or 2 in total.

Use the valuation at the land department that they use for calculating tax on transfers.

Seems appropriate as you are transferring 50% to the wife ( sort of).

You got the condo after you got married or before?

if after, i feel sorry for you hehe..

Yes. She has no claim otherwise. Get a lawyer.

As a general comment why do guys marry women who bring nothing financially to the table .Marrying into poverty is not a good idea here . Then demand this and that.

Divorce is very ungly no matter what country it is in . Stay strong !!!!! most of us in here have gone through divorce so you are not alone.

This is to divorce a Canadian woman in Canada, not a Thai. Still looking for a valuation. I could use the land office valuation but I bought the condo for less. Could also use the original purchase and sale price, but I'm looking for a lower price.

Do you want a realistic valuation or for a third party to give you a low ball valuation for divorce reasons .?

I'm pretty sure he's looking for the latter.

I wonder how many Canadian women are currently divorcing a man that owns a condo in Pattaya, that might google and end up at this thread?
