PATTAYA– October 20, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 00.00 am Pol.Lt.Chopaka Pruekchart-female inspector of Pattaya police station- was notified that a foreigner was dead in Phu View Thale Resort. After notification the police officers and Sawang Borriboon rescue team immediately rushed to inspect the scene.

At the scene was a small hotel which had 8 floors, there was a group of Russian tourists watching the incident. The officials asked the employee to inspect but the employee wouldn’t allow them.

The officials then had to negotiate with them for a while until the employee allowed them access.Later the police officers revealed that the deceased was a Mr.Sergei Shumilkin aged 29 from Russia.
