Hi,

My husband holds a valid work permit and non-immigrant visa. Myself and our son hold non-immigrant O visas under my husbands visa. We went to immigration today to extend our visas...someone from my husbands employment came with us and said that the rules have now changed so that me and my son can no longer get a non-immigrant O visa through my husband...is this true? The people from my husband employment have not been the best with organising our visas in the last and don't fill me with confidence. If this is true, what am I supposed to do now?

Thanks in advance

If he only has a non immigrant visa you cannot get an extension. He must have an extension of stay from immigration based upon working.

If he actually has an extension you can get dependent extensions based upon his.
