Two suspected brokers accused of trafficking women to China have been arrested, a local rights group said yesterday.

Lim Mony, deputy head of Adhoc's women's and children's rights program, told the Post that, according to information provided to the group on Sunday by an official of the Ministry of Interior's Anti-Human Trafficking Department, a Cambodian and a Chinese national have been arrested in China for sex trafficking.

Mony added that a Cambodian woman trafficked by the pair has been repatriated.

"Her family filed a complaint to us saying that she was sold to China.… [Trafficking there] is a big issue," she said.
