I just watched some series talk about people who got two personalities. I was thinking about bipolar but they didnt mention to that at all. So maybe some kind of Schizophrenia, mania?

There is no comparison medically between the two.

Bipolar is a mood disorder where people cycle from being elated / happy, to being depressed in various intervals from very rapid to slow cycles. The treatment is therapy and mood stabilizers like Lithium for example. It is a very tricky diagnosis to make and many doctors cannot diagnosed it correctly or diagnose it incorrectly.

Multiple (or dual) personality disorder has pretty much been discredited as a real diagnosis in the DSM ( Diagnostic and Statistical manual of mental disorders). It is no longer considered a legitimate diagnosis of a possible mental health disorder.

Bipolar is on person with severe mood swings.

Multiple personality is different people in one body (they could all have the same mood).

Schizophrenia is a disconnect from reality (hearing voices, abducted by aliens, etc.)

I love my wife a lot.....and such things like that men die earlier because of their wifes are just male jokes without real meaning. I am sure women have similar jokes....

Bi-Polar Disorder - use to be called by a more accurate name - Manic-Depressive... a mental state that fluctuates between being very hyper ... even ultra positive - where nothing is a problem and everything can be achieved - life is good - beyond good ... very often accentuated and punctuated by extreme highs and extreme lows - thus BiPolar... one end to the other... The depressive states varies from mild depression ... nothing is good, life is bad, why me? nothing works, I am not loved...yada yada yada...

Multiple Personality disorder is not very much like BiPolar... the afflicted person seems to switch from one distinct personality type to another ... Type A - hyper ... to other types of submissive ... and everything in between ... including dominate to the extreme to conniving - criminal to soft and sweet... The TEST is that one personality does not know about the other ... certainly not in much detail ... Dual Personality disorder is often used to try to fool prosecutors in court... and often fails.
