What I'd like to know is "What is Thailand NOT the hub of?"

Hub of the lack of hubs? Hub of hubless?

"Hubless" except for the oldest profession and even that's losing ground it seems. So much potential and so little meritable activity, except for the genuine 'suffering' class as the bottom of all protocols: the farmers and their families, whom, as LaoTse said, must be honored above all if the nation is to prosper.

Oh well, let the vaccine plunder begin and the autistic hymn expand to embrace the already advanced epidemic of skewed sexual orientations due to synergistic toxins and mistreated wombs.

No dust will settle until the throne is re-occupied for the next generation I fear. Nonetheless, Phayao is just fine.

Cheers

I appreciate the word "potential" combined with hub". I don't disagree but Thai made products are not even trusted by Thai people because of the proliferation of fake products and this is due to corruption at highest levels and police. Being the hub of life saving products requires massive TRUST.

i want the hub masters job, sit around all day making up sh#t about possible "hubs" in los. yea dats da ticket :-)

The article, sure enough, talks about market share and big money.

The Thais come across as disingenuous, opportunistic bottom feeders of the highest order, taking advantage of public interest enhanced by the other sickening industry - the media.

Thailand so proud of their potential. So sadly lacking in their application.

Just get on with it nice n quiet, speak when theres something to be proud of. until then <deleted> coffee1.gif

I agree. The only hub Thailand has a accomplished is to be the Hub of Wishful Hubs. Wouldn't it be classy of the powers that be to actually accomplish something then tell us about it?

But I'm going to save myself some keystrokes for now on and just post the following as a comment to Thai official's rhetoric.

thus far cannot find anything on the net about studies/ protocol/ preliminary results regarding the "ebola cure" announced a couple of weeks ago. normally in the scientific community such announcements are backed with such documentation if not a published/ pending journal article..

i sincerely hope their treatment works but until there is some remnant of "science" to review sadly the hub could be called "hub of self delusion" or "hub of delusions of grandeur"

i want the hub masters job, sit around all day making up sh#t about possible "hubs" in los. yea dats da ticket :-)

Would you settle for the inactive hub position?

“THAILAND has the potential and readiness to become the leader of vaccine production in Asean”

This seems to be yet another program being borrowed from the Yingluck administration:

Thailand and France Sign Five Agreements to Boost Bilateral Cooperation*

Thailand and France signed five accords and memorandums of understanding during the official visit of French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault to Thailand on 4-5 February 2013.

The five agreements cover cooperation in defense, production of four vaccines, research and development in agronomics, vocational curriculum development, and education under which a number of French teaching volunteers will come to teach in various schools in Thailand between June and September 2013.

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra emphasized Thailand’s good potential for becoming a center in this region, saying that the country has many infrastructure development projects linking ASEAN with South Asia and East Asia.

She stated that Thailand plans to set up an aircraft industrial estate, involving aircraft production, maintenance, and services. France was urged to join the bidding of various development projects in Thailand.

France has shown interest in investing in Thailand’s infrastructure development projects, especially electric train and high-speed train systems.

Both countries shared the view that a free trade agreement would lead to an increase in bilateral trade and investment between them. It is expected that negotiations on Thailand-European Union FTA will begin in the first half of 2013.

France currently ranks eighth in direct investment from European countries in Thailand. Bilateral trade between the two countries in 2012 reached 150 billion baht, an increase of 22 per cent from 2011. Thailand’s imports from France amounted to 100 billion baht, while its exports to France came to almost 50 billion baht in 2012.

What I'd like to know is "What is Thailand NOT the hub of?"

I don't think it will become the regional hub of DEMOCRACY anytime soon. For now it seems to be more of a missing link.

Oh no...not another Hub.

Thailand please.

I miss all the hub wannabe stories from thailand.

Hubba hubba

A new hub and a pointing picture.

Things obviously getting back to normal....

Try being the hub of something positive, and then building upon it. The hub of the flesh trade and corruption is not something to be admired.actually Being the hub of something is better than claiming to be able to be the hub of nearly everything

Oh no...not another Hub.

Thailand please.

YES.... the hub of "coup's" de ville :-)

Thailand has the potential for being many nice things..... a shopping paradise, medical tourism, etc etc. Unfortunately, the visitors die too often and their 30% markup on imports are keeping people away. blink.png

So are the scams.

Finally!!! It's been a while. Can't remember when the last hub story was. Getting withdrawal symptoms already.
