(i) do I arrive on a tourist visa and then switch? (ii) does the investment visa (1-year, renewable I believe) give me the rigth to work too? Firefan Posted July 28, 2006 Share Posted July 28, 2006 1. you CAN switch from a tourist visa yes. Not from a stamp-in only. 2. 1 year renewable as long as you hold the investment yes. The visa can be used to apply for work permit but you can not work on ANY visa by itself. You need a (seperate doc) work permit to work. Ps. REMEMBER that currently you can only get this visa if bought directly(new) from developer.
