Foxman888
Hello, Been reading up on the process to marry here in Thailand to my Thai girlfriend. Just one query really about the Affirmation to Marry Doc: As i am in Chiang Mai and going to use the UK Consulate here, does it matter that all copies that i can find to copy and amend with our details for the Affirmation to Marry document contain the Uk Embassy's address in Bangkok? Thanks
The Fat Controller
You will need to go to Bangkok anyway to get the affirmation and translation certified by the MFA at Chaeng Wattana Edited November 3, 2014 by The Fat Controller
johninbkk71
A quick related question or two 1. How long does the MFA take to approve the documents? 2. Once you have the documents are they good for? Thanks

Once you have the documents are they good for? 1. Arrive at MFA early, pay for the expedited service, and should have them back same day. Ensure the translation is perfect otherwise you'll have to visit the translation service on the ground floor for a reprint. 2. Six months - that was what we were told.
