November 3, 201411 yr I came across a clipping from a newspaper here that I had saved but part is defaced and I can't make some parts out. It was published on the "Centenary of Buddhadasa Bhikkhu's birth." Does anyone know where to find this poem to complete the puzzle? Just today, do your duty fully What has passed, don’t bother seeking; And don’t wish for what hasn’t arrived. The days keep on passing, never to return And future days never quite come to pass. Whoever clearly sees the manifest present Brightly, openly, directly in all its truth___ Without the usual shakes and tremble___ Can face things as they are and carry ___ So don’t delay in performing the duty__ __y, For nobody can know when dea___ We are powerless to delay or push aside Death and his great armies. (From the February 2003 calendar entry.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ From “Buddhadasa Bhikkhu’s Ethical Poems” (1998-2003), translated into English by Santikaro and published by Sukkhaphab Jai.
