WtFugarwe
My compost is at least a month from being finished. Meanwhile i have a buttload of coconut fiber and a shredder. Thinking of watering with coir tea. Any insights? Google has nothing.

loong
As Rice says, there's very little point in making a tea from coir as you will not get much nutrient value from it. There is nothing stopping you from brewing a tea from your unfinished compost. add a little EM and fresh green grass/weeds for the nitrogen. teletiger
Most local coire does contain high levels of salt, sodium chloride, (NaCl) and needs washing, if using as is. Best to compost it first. Regards.
WtFugarwe
Loong--I never knew. Followed your advice and it smells perfect. Aquarium pump plus molasses making the 25 gallon trash can bubble and foam like root beer. Still have a lot of coir and a giant shredder. Good mulch?
